Einstein said it best:
‘Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.’
To a great extent we are in control of changing how we feel. I think sometimes we get into the rut of actually getting comfortable where we are. Repeat after me… ‘I am in charge of my own happiness’… ‘If I don’t like something I can at least attempt to change it.’
I’m going to make this post short because it’s not every day essay Liv. I simply encourage you do try something new in order to ensure growth, holiness and happiness in your life.
Have no friends? Join a club or society. Learn to swim or go to the baking society.
Sick of your every day routine? Go do something random and spontaneous, after university or work tomorrow. Go visit that free museum or go ice-skating or try out that new restaurant that just opened or ask your friends to come over and hang out with you.
Confused with the British weather? Emigrate (okay that one might not be so practical), at least travel.
Tired of those ‘friends’ who constantly criticise you? Talk to them about how it affects you and if that doesn’t work distance yourself.
Not confident in your own body? Affirm yourself, then go put the work in at the gym.
Sick of feeling like you don’t have a relationship with God? Start praying, start reading and studying the bible, get yourself a morning devotional.
Take the leap. Do something different! Get inspired. Go start that YouTube channel or that business you’ve always wanted to start, or go after that dream job you’ve always aspired to have. What are you waiting around for? Things are only going to change if you decide to change them and then act on that decision. Go and make your life matter… make an impact on this world…
